Project Update

The first step in the master planning process for the district is nearing completion.  This first step was collecting information about the district facilities and understanding the core curriculum principles of PATHWAYS+PASSAGES.

The second step begins in January.  The master planning team will be working with educators and students January 9th and 10th in a series of workshops, and will meet with the community on January 11th.  We have already begun a student project based on the master planning project which will be completed in March of 2012.  We are very excited about these critical workshops, and hope everyone will join us January 11th at 6:30pm in the High School Social Room.

We thank you for supporting the master planning process and hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year.

  1. This is a great effort, and a great use of technology to update and engage the community about this master planning process. A member of the community–Sam Bell, who owns and operates the Lusty Wrench on Lee Road–has started a conversation at the Civic Commons about this planning process and the importance of a well-resourced focus on sustainability as part of the planning. You can find it here: http://theciviccommons.com/conversations/school-facilities-planning-true-sustainability-or-lip-service–2.

Everybody is invited to be a part of the conversation.
